The Work of Demons: The Agenda of Darkness

Demons are not myths or symbols—they are real, intelligent, malevolent beings. Their assignment is simple: steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). They wage war against believers by attacking minds, bodies, relationships, and destinies.

“The devil... prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”

In his bestselling book The Bondage Breaker, Dr. Neil T. Anderson writes:

“Demons are the foot soldiers of Satan. Their strategy is deception, and their target is your mind.”

They whisper lies, distort truth, inflame emotions, and plant seeds of fear, lust, hatred, addiction, and shame—all designed to disconnect you from God’s purpose.

What Is Spiritual Warfare?

Spiritual warfare is not just casting out demons. It is the daily resistance of the enemy’s lies and influence in your life and the enforcement of Christ’s victory through prayer, the Word, and holy living.

How Spiritual Warfare Manifests Physically

Spiritual attacks often show up in natural symptoms, but with supernatural roots:

  • Sudden anxiety or depression without cause

  • Persistent nightmares or sleep paralysis

  • Strained relationships with no logical explanation

  • Inexplicable sickness, delay, or confusion

  • Intense fatigue or mental fog during prayer or Bible reading

  • Sudden rebellion in children or deep family strife

“Therefore, submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”

Many believers suffer unnecessarily because they fight in the flesh what must be battled in the spirit.

How to Triumph—Always

You are not a victim. You are more than a conqueror through Christ (Romans 8:37). Victory in spiritual warfare is not a distant hope; it’s a present reality for the believer who walks in truth and spiritual authority.

1. Know Your Identity

Demons exploit spiritual ignorance. You must know who you are in Christ.

“Behold, I give you authority… over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

2. Put On the Full Armor of God

“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”

  • Belt of truth – centers your core

  • Shield of faith – quenches attacks

  • Sword of the Spirit (Word) – your offensive weapon

3. Pray and Fast 

“This kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.” — Matthew 17:21

Some strongholds require focused, fervent spiritual effort. Fasting weakens the flesh and strengthens the spirit.

4. Break Agreements with Darkness

Demons gain access through sin, trauma, occult involvement, or unforgiveness. Renounce and break every agreement.

5. Use the Name and Blood of Jesus

There is no name higher. Demons tremble at His name and the power of His blood.

Yes, the enemy is ruthless.
But greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
