“How the Blood of Jesus Protects, Heals, and Redeems You”

"And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony…”
Revelation 12:11 (NKJV)

The Blood of Jesus is not just a theological concept or a church cliché—it is the very foundation of our salvation, victory, and authority. But too often, believers acknowledge the blood intellectually without ever applying it intentionally.

The applied blood of Jesus is heaven's answer to sin, Satan, guilt, death, and judgment. It is God’s covenant weapon against the works of darkness—and it is available to every believer who dares to believe and speak.

 The Blood Speaks Better Things

“...and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.”
Hebrews 12:24 (NKJV)

Abel’s blood cried out for justice. Jesus’ blood cries out for mercy. Where sin shouts condemnation, the blood whispers redemption.

Derek Prince wrote:

“The blood of Jesus silences the accusations of Satan. When applied by faith, it shuts the mouth of the accuser.”

The blood doesn't just cover—it cleanses, transforms, and testifies on your behalf.

The Blood Applied in the Old and New Testaments

In Exodus 12, the Israelites were instructed to apply the blood of the lamb to the doorposts of their homes. That act of obedience didn’t just symbolize protection—it activated it. When the angel of death came, he passed over every blood-marked home.

“When I see the blood, I will pass over you…”
Exodus 12:13 (NKJV)

The power wasn’t in the lamb—it was in the applied blood.
Today, we no longer use animal blood—but the principle remains: the blood of Jesus must be believed in, spoken, and actively applied in prayer and faith.

What the Blood of Jesus Does

✔ Cleanses Sin

“The blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.”
1 John 1:7

No sin is stronger than the blood. It doesn’t just forgive—it purifies the soul.

✔ Gives Bold Access

“We have boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus…”
Hebrews 10:19

Because of the blood, you can come boldly into God’s presence—no shame, no separation.

✔ Breaks Curses

“Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us...”
Galatians 3:13

Every generational curse, every word spoken against you, every demonic stronghold—has been broken by the blood.

✔ Seals the New Covenant

“This cup is the new covenant in My blood…”
Luke 22:20

The blood is not just a symbol—it is the legal signature of the New Covenant between God and man.

How to Apply the Blood Today

Myles Munroe wrote:

“The blood is powerful when believed, spoken, and honored. Faith is what activates its power in your life.”

Here's how believers apply the blood today:

  • In Prayer: Declare the power of the blood over your life, family, mind, and home.

  • In Communion: Receive the body and blood of Christ with reverence, remembering what He purchased.

  • In Spiritual Warfare: Plead the blood against demonic oppression, accusation, and fear.

  • Over Your Household: Speak it out loud—“I apply the blood of Jesus over this house, over my children, over every door.”

 The Blood Still Works

The blood of Jesus is not just history—it’s heaven's present-tense power.

“Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.”
Hebrews 9:12

Billy Graham once said:

“There is no other way of salvation except through the blood of Christ. Only His blood is sufficient to wash away sin.”

And as long as that blood speaks, we have hope.
We have power.
We have peace.

Plead It, Proclaim It, Live Under It

Don’t just believe in the blood of Jesus—apply it. Plead it over your mind when anxiety rises. Proclaim it over your family when attacks come. Trust it when guilt whispers. Honor it when you worship.

The blood still speaks. The blood still saves. And when applied by faith, it still overcomes.

“They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb…”
Revelation 12:11
